Neural Network Storage
Extra-large 128KB RAM and 128KB EEPROM specifically designed to store relatively large neural networks — essential for true artificial life exploration.
Distributed Processing
Connect up to 128 proSeed units via I2C, building a bottom-up cluster architecture where each subsystem is handled by an individual neural network communicating via FORTH words.
FORTH Language
We chose FORTH for its modularity, interactive debugging, performance, and compactness — the ideal language for robotic applications and open-source exploration.

Some of our earliest robotic sculptures can be seen at Yves Amu Klein’s website livingsculpture.com. After many years of refinement, we arrived at an affordable microcontroller purpose-built for distributed processing — better suited for emulating life-like robots than any off-the-shelf solution.
Our proSeed features all standard microcontroller capabilities: 16 digital I/Os, 16 analog inputs, RS-232, I2C and SPI buses — plus the key extras that set it apart for artificial life work.
